Starbox
The final project for my 300s level graphics class, Starbox took me approximately three weeks of after classes work to develop. I actually ran out of time to finish it as well as I would have liked, so I spent an extra week later on adding a few extra bells and whistles such as smoke effects, the dusky lighting, etc.
There are quite a few things left unfinished in this demo, such as terrain collision detection, some sort of victory screen upon killing the boss, etc, but keep in mind that it was a graphics class and I was severely strapped for time (we weren’t actually expected to create a project of this scope).
Update 2016: For some reason z-buffering no longer appears to work with some drivers.
